This collective mapping is a great tool to understand and discuss the things that the people moving through the city have to comment on (for specific areas). Although it is used mostly as a complementary tool (in addition to the urban quality criteria and/or the exploratory walks ), it provides with great information for the density of a problem for one specific spot for example (if all the participants indicate that they don't feel safe walking there during the night for instance). This tool is widely used by many organisations, educational groups or activist teams adapting it to the local context and the profile of the participants (via an intersectional approach).
