Women (especialy with migrant backgrounds living in the city)
To explore the feminine dimension of urban planning, according to the concept: design cities for women, and they will work for everyone. Particularly, the notion of safety in public space places women in the position of experts as they more often pay attention to this aspect of space. The aim is to determine and address the undesired, badly designed, or under-maintained spaces from a female perspective. Safety walk is a very simple and accessible tool to almost everyone enjoying a little bit of attention towards the surroundings, and to raise awareness amongst a larger group of people. It is a nice way to get to know each other and the different points of view as well as sensitivities. It turned out to be a great way to spark new ideas, points of view, and discussions about possible improvements on space.

<aside> ⭐ The tool drew attention to unexpected spots in the town that were not
considered as problematic while planning the route. The tool has the
potential of inspiring new projects or initiatives (for example an old
pedestrian tunnel under a main road was criticised as a wrong planning
solution encouraging users to take the illegal crossing across the
four lane road.
