Everyone, especially people with many privileges so that they can have a better understanding of their positionality.
This is an exercise dedicated to understanding (as a group) the privileges and/or oppressions each of us is facing in their everyday life. Each group has one big Canva with a pie indicating a set of society privileges and oppressions. On the table there are small stickers of 2 different colours. Each participant selects the privileges - oppressions that resemble them and accordingly puts the stickers over the society privileges and to the oppressions. Goal is to better conceptualise and visualise our positionality and the positionality of the whole group/table at the same time. During this exercise or even after it, there can be an open discussion sharing thoughts and feelings about the outcomes/observations. This tool can be used either in a group or individually. The tool has its origins in Morgan K. P. (1996), where it was proposed as a diagram to understand the hegemonies within American society. We further enriched the diagram and adjusted it into the local contexts, so that it can be used as a tool for local activities and research.

<aside> ⭐ This is an important tool to make sure that all the participants are aware of their positionality, their privileges or oppressions and even their projections. It is also a very useful tool if you want to create a space for open conversation and for active listening.

We can use the oppressions from the privilege pie as a tool (i.e as an indicator) to the exploratory walks and create a collective mapping of public spaces and how it reproduces these oppressions (representations in the city).
